I met a lovely and most interesting man today at the NNL East

Many or most of you know him or of him.
Mikhail Bashmashnikov was there with his fantastic display of 1/43s and his 1/24 Bugatti mounted in his window box display where every item in it tells a bit of his personal story.... and does he have some fascinating stories to tell. He talked about everything from his childhood experiences learning watchmaking from his father, his experiences in Moscow to his ultimate emigration to the US and even his interview with Jay Leno.
The man should write a book!

Of all the beatiful models on display, this is the one I so wanted to by when it was released years ago.

Darn! Can someone resize these images. Something is not working

I can only resize the pics when I'm looking at them but not permanently.

Mikhail is one of the good guys in the hobby. His models are little jewels.

Thanks, Paul. Can you please tell me how you did that and what pixel size?

Photobucket used to do this automatically for me and now it doesn't.

Yep, Mikhail is a wonderful and interesting man. It is great to see him (and his terrific models) at the 1/43 Countryside Shows.

Richard - The 1:1 car was called the 'Fascination'. Only five of themwere built and a friend of mine in Colorado owns two of them. I've ridden in one of his cars a couple of times. The makers of the 1:43rd model used one of his cars as the model. The car has been shown at many Concours including Amelia Island. My friend 'gifted' me this model.photo no longer available

Like Mike, I talked to Mikhail at the Ferrari Show/Countryside Show this year... links
