I noticed the other day that my NEO 1957 Hudson had a windshield trim that popped off on one side. This happened once on a Kess model but never any other resin models. It is a very thin photoetched part. The problem is that I am quite nervous about repairing it because my hands are twisted from arthritis and being able to do fixes that require fine motor skills are very difficult for me. I have some 5 minute epoxy but I'm wondering if something else might work as I worry about getting the epoxy on the windscreen or other parts of the model.
Anyone have any advice? It's a gorgeous model so I want to get it fixed.
Mark... travel to a Hobby Lobby or equivalent and purchase "Canopy glue."  It specifically made for situations such as this, hence the name...you can glue clear, scale airplane canopies (or any other scale windows, trim, etc.. ) without fear. It bonds very well, dies crystal clear and cost less than $5.00 🙂 🙂Â
@chris That sounds perfect. Thanks, Chris!
I fixed my Kess 1960 Desoto yesterday with the same problem. I used ordinary white glue on the end of a toothpick. Very, very small amount needed. I then taped it in place with thin strips of green painters Frogtape and let it sit overnight. Removed the tape in the morning and wiped around the fix with a paper towel soaked in hot water. This will remove any excess glue as it is water soluable. Voila!

I second that method.

Lots of great advice. Thanks all!
@nickies That's a good tip too. I'm sure my wife will have 40-50 bottles of clear in her pile.
