I received the following information about Brooklin's 40th Anniversary Models. I was half right.
The 4 models will have a ruby red theme in various tones (sympathetic to the age of the car).
They will presented in similar handmade black boxes to the 30th Anniversary specials.
The four models are:
1) BRK. 166x - 1960 Chevrolet Impala
2) BRK. 183x - 1955 Chrysler Windsor Convertible
3) BRK. 83x - 1947 Ford V8 Station Wagon (this model will be substantially upgraded)
4) BRK. 187x - 1939 Nash Ambassador 8 Touring Sedan

In addition Dick, the models chosen are to represent the three main manufacturers; GM, Chrysler and Ford, plus one independent.
I wonder if the set isued in 2024 will be solid gold and sell at standard BRK price ??????!!!!!!.
Can't wait for the diamond encrusted ones in 2034.
I'll not mention the platinum set, 'cos that would be getting a bit silly !!!!!!

Unfortunately Dick, I won't qualify for such a gift.....
I will only be 91, and you can't even get a special birthday card for that age !!!!!!!

In addition...again! the four models represent the four main body styles that have commonly been made by many manufacturers. The Ford woody will be upgraded with panel work like the recent 1940 Buick Woody and the interior of the '55 Chrysler will be better detailed, which it needed to be.
