Little British Car! I am trying to identify a 1/43rd model I picked up a while ago. It is right-hand drive, has an MG or Wollesely-ish split grille, dipped bumper in the front like a Wollesly. The "aero" shape, the seam along the middle of the top, the split rear window lead me to believe it may be a one-off in the style of the Chrysler Airflow. Any ideas?

I think it's an Italian Lancia, they had right-hand drive at that time. As far as I can recognize the rear tag, it reads "ROMA xx xxxx".

The model maker could be RIO from Italy, I guess.

This is a 1939 Lancia Aprilia. I think this one was made by Edison Giocattoli. It could also be a partworks production for the Italian market.

@ralf and @david-green - great job on the ID!  I think the license plate is for MI - Milano.  Those partworks are made in China and many times have no info on their baseplates. Came in different packaging for different releases....

@karl    You're right, Karl, it's Milano.

Should have worn my reading glasses...

I think this could be a Brumm. I had the same model in silver once. A photo of the base would be useful.

@mg-harv Bonus points for you!  Italian website shows the Brumm:

Check out the rear license!  Johnny - does it not say on the baseplate?

@dave_larsen , David, Karl, Ralf: You guys are awesome! The right-hand steering threw me right off -- once again, my addiction has produced valuable historic knowledge. I am ashamed to admit that, in my plea for info, I failed to name the model manufacturer, which is Brumm. Thanks, all!
