The 1962 Cadillac Series 62 cabriolet represents a moment when Cadillac had begun to rein in the excess of the late 1950s while still delivering unmistakable presence and luxury. The fins were lower, the lines cleaner, and the overall design more confident than flashy. In convertible form, the Series 62 remains one of the most attractive open cars of the era, combining length, balance, and restraint in a way that still feels intentional more than sixty years later.
Stamp Models has captured that character well in this 1:43 scale resin release, arriving to these shores yet this week. Known for its focus on classic American cars and very small production runs, Stamp approaches these subjects with an emphasis on proportion and surface detail. Resin construction allows for sharper trim lines and a smoother finish, which works especially well on large, slab-sided cars like this Cadillac. The stance, chrome details, and overall shape feel right, and the open-top presentation highlights the elegance of the original design.
This particular example is finished in sage green poly and limited to just 70 pieces in this color. I’ll admit I’m a sucker for these ultra-limited color variations, and this one pulled me in without much resistance. The green is subtle but immediately eye-catching and suits the car’s long body and restrained fins perfectly.
It is sharp and I'm really tempted, but I am seriously trying to reduce the number of color variations I'm adding to my "getting too large to manage" collection. The new release of the '57 Imperial was a complete failure for me, so...

@jcarnutz I know, man, I know. I ordered both of those from Dale, too.
Beautiful model. You may need to hire a manager for your collection.

What a lovely model Randy. The '62 is my favorite Caddy of its decade bar none.
