This was wonderful, thank you John.  What a treat to hear from John Roberts; he is such a lovely person and his reminiscing about the past is so interesting.  I look forward to another such interview in the near future.

Absolutely fascinating John. I knew quite a bit of the early Brooklin history but John Roberts has filled it so much more detail and keyed in my memories. Lots of additional information and fantastic anecdotes. I can’t wait to see more of these features. Thank you John Kuvakas and John Roberts.

Thank you John K and John R. That was an excellent video. I really liked the stories about the people and the companies. Buying my first white metal model in 2015, I was not aware of much of that history. I look forward to more videos with John R.

Thank you both! I learned quite a bit; it was a fascinating interview that I enjoyed very much..... "rich history"  for sure!  Great, poignant questions AND answers.

Thanks, John for the fascinating interview with Mr. Roberts ! He most certainly is a talented gentleman and working with some great people. I am happy and lucky to have a Brooklin John Roberts enhanced 1956 Lincoln Premiere that I was lucky to win at a Countryside Show. It is a real prized replica !

Thank you John K. and John R. Every few months John R. and I exchange emails and I must say that he is the ultimate gentleman in every way. I only have a few of John's special models but the model that is my favorite in my collection is the 1937 Studebaker Dictator Sedan that john did of my first 1/1 car. The workmanship on that model is just perfect. I'm sure there are collectors of John's models. The person I know that has a sizable number of John's models is Rick Thompson who rarely post a comment on this forum. Perhaps if Rick is reading my post he would favor us with some pictures of some of his very special JR models.

@bob-jackman, I recently heard from Rick. He's moving to NC to be closer to his family.

This is really a beutiful and interesting video, thank you John for that. I know J.R. since a long time and met him in Bath a couple of times, it was a great pleasure for me. I have about 230 of his creations and he was my master when I started enhancing models. Just a little comment on the video: I am afaraid that not English speaking people may have some difficulties in catching all the words, is there a solution for this?

@ed-davis The best ones are shown in the Collectors Guide, other ones in the Hobbydb data base.

@jkuvakus. I thoroughly enjoyed your interview with JK. Great idea to make it a series. I have a suggestion for future interviews with JR. I'm sure that there are many form members here that have questions for/about JR, especially from collectors who dabble in repaints and alterations.I know that I do. My suggestion is to canvas collectors on this forum for questions that they would like JR to answer. For me, this would be an opportunity of a lifetime. After all, JR is considered one of the best in the world at what he does with Brooklins. I regularly see JRs repaints surface on Ebay and they fetch top dollars. The photos on Hobbydb only scratch the surface.I am curious as to how many repaints JR thinks that he has done over his career. I'm betting that it is in the 100s. I also wonder if he took and retained photos of each of the models that he did for collectors.I'm sure that there would be enough to compile a book. I can go on & on with questions and ideas but I will stop here. Food for thought.
