FYI: does anyone need a green FDS (Italy), white Western Model, or blue Metal 43 (Western for Danhausen) box?  A collector sent me some empty ones.  I have plenty of unboxed handbuilt Alfas to use them on, but just in case you are missing these exact ones?  Photos are examples from the net.  (Models not included!)

Thanks for the offer. However, I do not need the boxes.

Thanks for the opportunity Karl. Don't need these ones but others might. We rarely get the chance to find missing boxes.

@david-green Karl, you mean. But it’s easy to default to Mr. K.

I understand in some cases, the boxes can be worth as much (or even more) than the models themselves. I think in a couple of situations , the Matchbox video posted by John K. had a mention of occasionally a box being worth more than the model inside !

@mikedetorrice Some Dinky and Tekno boxes are indeed worth more than the models themselves.  (I admit to falling into that trap on a rare Tekno blister pack!)

It is astonishing, Karl. I know as a kid, usually the first thing that was discarded was the box the new delight came in !

And I did exactly the opposite and now have totes full of vintage Dinky Toy boxes from 60-70 years ago.

I think that Mike is much more typical - why keep the box?  I did keep a bunch as an older kid, but very early on threw them all out.  Oh well...
