Will the detail on these NBC models be standard on all future Brooklin models?
I say 'Why Not?'
Standard versions will not have the extra detail only for the NBC range. The reason is the cost to add these details which would have to reflect in the cost of the standard issues.
Wow! Gorgeous the model and the pics. I can't wait to receive mine. Are you going to leave the Lincoln on the base Ben?

Yes sir.... I usually take them off the base, but these are a little different.
I also have the NBC Town & Country on the way...scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

There were comments made a few days ago here on this forum about these NBC models being on par with Motor City models, and having this one in hand, I whole-heartily agree with that statement.
Stay tuned for pics tomorrow for the NBC Town & Country.....same Bat-time, same Bat-channel.
Sorry for being ignorant on the subject but what NBC is standing for?

@ben-lampson Does Motor City still in business? Back in 2000, I got the MC 1949 Buick Riviera and the Roadmaster Convertible. They were very rare and really awesome models. When I liquidated my collection ten years ago, I remember I got $3K for both of them.
@nickies No longer in business - not sure when they stopped....
Their last official release as the MOC we were so familiar with was the '56 Dodge Royal Laner HT in tritone. I think that was 2010. The model was an authentic MOC made by Brooklin for MOC. A convertible version was released by another firm that had the masters and rights to the MOC name a few years later. It was made in very limited quantities. There's been no activity since.

John, what about all the previous MOC models?
Did Motor City farm out the white metal work, or did they do it in-house?
@ben-lampson, most of them were done in-house. But Alan seemed like he would do whatever he had to do to get his jewel-like models produced. He even dabbled in resin from time to time.

@jkuvakas From hobbyDB: Their last model was made around 2010, a 1956 Dodge hardtop. Then, the rights to MotorCity USA were acquired Jeff Thomas, who released the Dodge as a convertible. No new models have been released since that one.
Bob Hooper had the Dodge convertibles at the 2012 model car expo in Countryside IL - both standard and a reverse scheme concerning top up/top down. There was also a prototype black over yellow scheme, quickly snapped up by Howie Levine ($800 was the asking price if I recall).
What a shame many more of these convertibles weren't done. I have the beautiful HT and it is one of my favorites; along with the 55 Safari wagon.

Thanks for that info Harv and John.... there is a lot of good on that table!
