Inventories
I saw a couple of inventories discussed recently and thought I might share mine from when I first started collecting. A collector friend told me the "I sure wish I had started doing this when I first started, do it, you won't be sorry" Not being computer literate, then or now, I just set mine up in MS Word. This is what a bit the 1st page looks like.
Cheers and Happy Collecting,

Have we seen your 3 ABC Alfas? You are piquing my curiosity, just a little! Much...
less a 1/80 scale ship! Must be huge. We've been stretching the Forum43 scale up to 1/35 so why not down to 1/80? If you have any photos, Steve, I would love to see them!
I've posted my Bug before Karl. May be time for a new picture though.
Karl, your wish is my command.
The ship with a little 1/43rd scale Alfa (Starter kit) in front for scale.

Closeup of the Alfa. BTW - those are real wire wheels vs photoetch.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the Alfas and the transitional ship (sail to steam)
Cheers and Happy Collecting and a thoughtful Memorial Day,
Steve
Steve, I have always been extremely impressed with your collection and equally how it is displayed.

That is some sailing/steam ship! What rigging for a model! And those Alfas, of course!
And my LeMans winner from 1932...
Also from Starter but factory built. Your wheels look much finer! photo no longer available
Karl, So that is what the Starter kit was meant to look like.
This was the first model I built after a 30+ year hiatus. The decals in the box were so fragile that I didn't apply them. I was unable to find reference photos at the time (unaware of internet possibilities in '99) so I painted it red which I knew was right and the wheels black which seemed right. Later I found reference photos of the real thing and my modeling skills had improved, but decided to keep it as it was. A pleasant memory.
Cheers and Happy Collecting,
Steve
PS I am still building models, WWI airplanes now.
Check out my work station. The Albatros on top of the V16 Caddy is awaiting a genuine laminated wood propeller to finish it.
Werner Voss's triplane is in progress on the table.

Thank you for your kind comments Chris.
Great decals and paint on that German Albatros! Now I need to find a 1/43 Alfa 308! ...
I have been to the IMS museum several times but have never seen it. I wonder if it is in the basement, or they sold it?
Karl, if you have the time give me a call or email me
