Inventory.... I have many race vehicles and so I use excel for them. I also have a multitude of cars and pickups that aren't related to racing. What I have done there is taken or copied pictures from another source of the models I have and added a description of what it is. For example:

Under the pic I add [1x 1959 Pontiac Conquest 1:43]

The 1 x lets me know that I actually have that model. I do the same with folders as in companies IXO, MADISON, BROOKLIN, ETC Whatever is in that particular folder I have with the 1x designation.

I have so many race cars and transports that I have them in individual folders all in one large folder pertaining to race vehicles. That's the picture end of my inventory I use excel to itemize year/ model/ driver/race/finish/ manufacture/ and scale

If you really want to have photos linked to your inventory, then...

use a cloud based solution. hobbyDB is one good example. You can make it public or keep it private.

Can you see mine?

NOTE: I actually have not used this feature of hobbyDB, but am thinking about it.

Also possible in Excel

You can also include photos in Excel cells

Just like Spark does with their periodic release lists.
