Why not carry it in style with room to spare in these 3 big beautiful station wagons?

...........sorry Moe (Barry?).........just the sight of 3 empty station wagons wouldv`e stimulated my imagination.......I wouldv`ve tried to pack Black Bart, the standard array of dinosaurs,Sky King,Roy Rogers et al ......run `em all out onto front porch and back a few times, all the while making that motor noise

..........never been to Tibet,so i`m just speculating on THAT part

Sorry John but you lost me with your reply...

....if I may,

I think what John is alluding to is the fact that in Tibet, especially for most of the 20th century, society was cut-off or denied access to "the real world."  The indigenous population had little knowledge of anything modern.

If any Tibetan kid would've seen those 3 big & beautiful station wagons in 1959, their brains would've been over stimulated for "like 3 weeks."

If this doesn't accurately explain John's obscure reference than, I too, am clueless.  😬 😬 🙄 🙄

@john-barry Understood. Verbose posture unwittingly can foster pedantic verbiage which often deflects candid insight, speaking parenthetically of course. 😏

In 1959, the Communist Chinese brutally put down/occupied a protest/demonstration and annexed Tibet.

On a much more lighthearted note , gee whiz, I don't see my favorite color combination in a 1959 Chevrolet wagon ! Surely, someone has such a vehicle ?!? Smile

True. My initial comment was going to be about that Chevy wagon.... it's looks a bit "stubby"  to me. 🤔

They are all beautiful station wagons and certainly these versatile automobiles were approaching the height of their popularity in the USA.

The 1:1 DeSoto is 220 inches long, the Mercury 219 inches, and the Chevy 210 inches so that might explain it...
