Before the ever popular Jaguar Mark II there was the Mark 1, the first of the unibody compact saloons that was changed somewhat in 1959 to become the Mark II. Easiest way to note the difference is the Mark II had thinner chrome framed door windows. Mark I was available with 2.4 or 3.4 XK engines. Here is a Mark 1 Corgi in cream and an Eligor in dark green.
Collecting Jaguars, I have a significant number of Jaguars. Seeing Frank's Morse Mark II, I'm reminded of the black Mark I prominent in the Endeavour series driven by Endeavour Morse as a young police officer. I have not seen this one as a model so far.

All the models have the full skirts (spats for the UK contingent) but a Road & Track roadtest of one in 1958 shows the later Mark II skirts. Must have been a production change at some point.
