Ken Spear, any more pictures that Royal Lancer 2 door hardtop’s progress?

What a great and challenging project.  I love the colors of the tri-tone shown.

@david-knight. Hi David: I just finished attaching all the chrome trim and will be doing the primer today. It is taking much longer than I planned as I am working on six cars all at various stages. I am converting a Western Models 1959 Desoto 2 dr htp Adventurer (kit model) into a Firedome, another Western Model- a 1958 Plymouth Fury 2 dr htp (kit model) int a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere 2 dr htp and assembling 3 Record 1952 Pontiac kits: a 2 dr htp, 2 dr convertible and 2 dr fastback. With winter fast approaching here in Canada, I have about 6 weeks left before I must finish off for the season.I do all my painting in an unheated garage due to the fumes. In about 6 weeks it will be too cold to spray. I just finished 3 Record 1952 Chevrolets: a 4 dr sedan, a 2dr fastback and a 2 dr coupe. I will post some pictures of them in the next couple of days.

@kenspear And speaking of Records,  here are my early 50s Pontiacs in many versions.  Can't recall which ones are "stock" and which ones are my creations its been so long ago I did these.  The tin woody is a grafting of a front clip onto a Provence Moulage transkit  but I corrected the error in the tailgate angle that all these Provence Moulage wagon bodies had. I really liked these Record Chevrolets and Pontiacs, now if we could just get some resin maker to do a series of early 1950s Plymouths.

@John-quilter. Nice job on the Pontiacs. I like the colors that you chose on each of them. It seems that the 4 dr fastbacks are the hardest to find. When they do pop up on Ebay, they are usually pretty pricey compared to the rest. I'm trying to find both the Pontiac and Chev 4 dr fastbacks unfinished. I prefer to pick my own colors and paint them myself. As an alternative to the Chev 4 dr fastback, it looks like Sergio has a 4 dr fastback Chev planned for next year. I believe that it is a 1950.

@kenspear   And speaking of 1949-50 Chevrolet four door fastbacks that was our family car at the time.  I therefore made one as a replica along with a wooden horse trailer that we used to transport a family horse from Virginia to California circa 1952.  And that in itself is a very special story.
