@karl

Karl, mine just came today. It’s #35 of 50. Let us know what number yours is when it arrives. John Kuvakas’ “My Take” says it all. This little car is incredibly well done. Here are a few preliminary pictures of mine. I will get some more outdoor views tomorrow if the rain has stopped.

And the 1:1 car with VIN number 1,000,000 restored in Portland Oregon in 2014 by the late Dave Adams.  Was sold at auction later for $28K and since it was the actual one million car,  has been exported to the UK.

Got mine Saturday, so here's my 2 cents worth. I got lucky #7 of 50. One item I don't think has been made much of is the "Minor 1000000" decal on the boot. Online I found this:

As well as the off-white hide seats with their black piping, the Million featured black carpets, chrome rimbellishers, and special ‘Minor 1000000’ motifs on the bonnet and the boot.

The boot badges were modified by an 18-year-old apprentice, Keith Philpott, who in conversation with Ray Newell of the Morris Minor Owners’ Club recalled dimpling an exposed part of the milled section by hand, so it blended in better with the embossed detailing between the badge’s figures.

Brooklin did not model the bonnet badging, but that's the only real miss I spotted. Receipt of this model warranted a Morris Minor party, so I clustered my other Minor 1000s for a group photo.  Ignoring the Matchbox, all are different body styles - 2-door, 4-door, Traveller, and drop-head sedan (convertible).

And still more Morris Minors

Morris Minors #1
Morris Minors #2
Morris Minors #5

And the right hand two, replicas of the 1:1 cars in my garage.

Morris Minors #3

Although the Landsdowne Minor Million is exceptional except for the lack of wheel trim rings,  I think I'm going to pass, having enough as it is.

And I did not even get into the Morris commercial vehicles like these J2 items, a van, a minibus, a pickup and camper.

And there really was a Morris Major,  Australia only though.
