I took my older WM Packard Darrin down to contrast with a bus, just another picture:
But when I started to put it back into its display. . .
So, after a good night's sleep, I got out the glue and made repairs. I also noticed that I had never put placed a license plate, so I took care of that at the same time.
And some people think maintenance is only for the 1:1 cars..........
Enjoy!
Unfortunately, this seems to be a common problem for model collectors. I currently have a dozen or so waiting for attention. If I do them as soon as the problem occurs, that is usually best. Photo etched parts are the worse culprits.
@david-green, I've found it to be true as well, if I don't address it right away, it never gets done. Then I begin to lose parts, then...

@david-green I have multiple models with loosening photo etch. The prospect of tackling the glue job makes me swoon so it's being put off, and off again.
I love the look that P-E detailing can give to a model, helping it to look like a shrunken 1:1. But they've got to find a better way to apply it. It is certainly possible to do because there are many models where the trim stays put for years. It may be up to the individual assembler?
I have a maintenance list of a dozen or two models, which I pick away at now and then. At least a third of these are decals that need to be applied (usually cigarette ads).
