I know...It seems to me that as we age and get rid of our collections, or they are parted...
out after we are gone, (and not to younger folks) they are going to end up in the Dempsey Dumpster. Too bad, really. Realistically, I know that my collection of 250 Cadillac models in 1:43 are not really going to find a new home. The only ones that MAY bring in some money are the Elegance, Motor City and Victory models. They continue to hold their value.

The hobby is alive and kicking but only if you love race and ralley subjects.
Entire starting grids of many races are being produced in 1/43 sometimes within a year of the race. Looksmart, TSM, Minichamps, Spark, BBR and others seem to be cranking out new competition subjects almost weekly.
Plus more subjects are coming out in 1:18 for those with more dough and more space.
Us 1/43 road car guys are the dinosaurs I guess.

Since I'm into racing sports cars, perhaps my stuff will still be worth something when I'm gone!
