Mercedes-Benz and Conquest Headlights!

To tie two recent topics together,  here are some Tekno Mercedes-Benz 220S ambulances from Denmark/  1/43 scale,  They were made from 1959 to 1969, a long run for Tekno, so many are still around.  They did many color combinations as well, easily painted in two-tone because the body was cast in 3 parts (base, middle, top). 

In 1962, Denmark switched from the yellow warning flag to a blue flashing light.  Tekno was late and switched their model over about 1966.  Speaking about finding headlights hidden in the packaging, I bought a nice all black one without the flag.  They are a loose fit and are missing in many surviving examples.  When it arrived, there was a rattle inside, so I opened it up and found the flag!  What a nice 'free gift'!
