That man from Newark, (Nottinghamshire, England that is and not New Jersey)John Ellis, has been at it again. Here's his rework of BRK28 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser in a striking black and pink colour scheme. John tells me he started this one 17 years ago and he's just got round to completing it. Here are the photos.
Looks great.

Job well done, it's stunning. 💯
I met John Ellis many years ago at a Brooklin Models function near Bath, England and saw many of his beautiful projects. One beauty in particular that I recall was the BRK 77, 1959 Mercury station wagon redone in metallic light blue with woodgrain Colony Park feature, which greatly improved the standard issue. Mr. Ellis is a very nice man and an extremely talented and modest fellow.
Decades ago my youngest brother and I were “admiring “ a TPC and he made a comment about the size of that rear-end to which I replied that it served as a second trunk and storage for your fishing gear. The owner had a difficult time not LOL. Good Lord, Rick and I had the BEST car show trips.

Holy cow, that beats all my project records - I went only 10 years between projects a few times. This Mercury is outstanding! 😎 😎 😎
What a really beautiful rework and upgrade of this superb Mercury. This one is especially nice and well worth the effort !
What’s not to like about that TPC color combo ? I think it’s perfect and I’d like to lay my peepers on the re-worked wagon too.

It may have taken 17 years but it was worth it. Absolutely beautiful.
