Minichamps Monday: Maserati Quattroporte I by Frua -- with some interior additions.

This has been one of my favorite cars since seeing it as a kid at the spectacular annual NYC auto show.  I had to wade through a crowd of eyepoppers just to get a glimpse at this first supersedan. 

Good ol' Minichamps--with their accurate shapes, trim and colors, I have many packed away now that I'm bedazzled by the current resin models with unreal levels of detail.  So I gave this QP a more visible interior by changing the color and giving it some trim. I did see a photo of one in this color combo and i'm pretty sure -- but not totally sure -- the seats had contrast piping. The last pic was to try to capture the Wow! factor it had on me back in '63.
