1939 and 40 were really hopping, but 41 is a real home run! A cool 41 pickup and the Carter Family, plus I did not know Alan Lomax recorded a young Muddy Waters!

1947. (Song released in 2000 on Sailing To Philadelphia CD). Mark Knopfler captures the time well and this model is the type of auto I see the folks (Gospel singers) in the song traveling around in.
Since nineteen thirty-one
Amen, I say amen
Now the young folk want to praise the Lord
With guitar, bass and drums, amen
Well I'll never get tired of Jesus
But it's been a heavy load
Carrying His precious love
Down a long dirt road
We're a long way from home
Just let's pay the man and go
Baloney again…

@mg-harv Thanks for picking up the slack! I don’t have a model from 46 but you know I got some blues.
you may know Arthur Crudup from the Elvis 1956 hit That All Right Mama which Elvis recorded 10 years after Arthur recorded in 46.

bb king says about Lightnin Hopkins, a lot of folks can sing and play the blues… but with Lightnin you believe it.

@frank Hey Frank, you always post such excellent music. I've a couple of Charles Brown records on Route 66 label but sadly don't get to listen to them too often as I cannot focus too much on reality! Up-beat tunes are easier, so I listen more to Savoy label stuff: The Ravens are a favourite.
Your De Soto is really in-keeping with the music, so do please post more - cars & great tunes.
