I've not posted on here for a while and to be quite honest, I can't remember if I've posted these before. I don't think I have but it won't hurt to have another look at John's incredible work. John tells me there are three others to follow, once he's made them, but as those who have commissioned conversions in the past, he doesn't rush his work.

@chris The first Cadillac wrecker was also....the first wrecker!

Cadillac wrecker No.1 pic1
Cadillac wrecker No.1 pic2
Cadillac wrecker No.1 pic3
Cadillac wrecker No.1 pic4
Cadillac wrecker No.1 pic5

Also, as good as John's work is, I don't believe any 4-tired vehicle can carry a full tank with 500 or more gallons capacity. Four wheels on the rear axle is much more believable.

...and here is that Holmes Wrecker in 1:43.

This is a Jerry Rettig, Enchantment Land Models creation.

Maybe it works because it's a smallish tanker? Here's Dean Paolucci's (Model Crafters) streamline tanker...
