Several years ago I purchased a bunch of these fabulous handpainted

1/43 figures from http://www.lynsmodels.co.uk   - appears that this website is now defunct.

Is anyone familiar with these and whether they are still being produced by anyone? My photos show Jim Clark (seated), Mike Hawthorn, Fangio, and

Stirling Moss.  I also have several mechanics in Ferrari and Maserati colors in several poses. The man did really great work.

I agree with Harv.  To see actual figures done this realistically is  great!  Many thanks for sharing your fine collection, Tedweller.

I have not seen these particular figures before but they would sure go well with my Le Mans and Formula 1 cars. I do have others makes, mostly unpainted as yet. Thanks for showing these.

Hi Ted

Figures are made by Omen Miniatures and in November 2011, Wiltshire-based modeller Nigel Smith, became the proud new owner of this company; the business was originally created by Jeff Brickett from Horsham in 1982.

These two are still available:

https://www.omen-miniatures.com/lookalike-motor-racing-personalities-in-the-style-of/a055-mike-hawthorn

https://www.omen-miniatures.com/lookalike-motor-racing-personalities-in-the-style-of/a056-juan-fangio

Currently, unpainted, £4, or painted, £20.

Hope this helps

Chris

Also from planetdiecast 10 years ago:

Using Denizen 1:43 race driver figures as the basis, Lyndon Crowe provide(d) painted figures for your model collection and dioramas.  Hence Lynsmodels. He was in Cardiff, Wales.
