@jcarnutz The GT Hawk is one of my favorite designs of that era. Even though it was just a continuation of body panel changes to the '53, it had morphed into a perfect grand touring car.
My vote for best favorite of 2022 is Rich Sufficool's yel/grn Checker, specifically the shot of that wonderfully unique nose really grabbed me.

@stewil The only reason I don't give this model my top rating is the big bulge of the rear undercarriage. This is really distracting when displayed at eye level on the shelves. Otherwise, the model is awesome and very unique.
What great-looking Checker and Yellow cabs ! They photograph beautifully and are a terrific choice to do, thus they are a great addition to a 1/43 collection.
A tough choice for me, but I rather like Stamp's '78 Eldo, the metallic brown color reflecting what was popular back in the 1970s. The proportions of the model look great too.
I added a bunch of significant models to my collection this year.
An understatement if ever there was one, John! 🤣
All the above models are great. However, with all that detail my choice is the Bugatti. The Checker, which I saw at the Chicago show last October is my choice for runner-up.

Four of my favorites models detailed who has been not mentionned and who looks awesome. They have been detailed by John Ellis. Infortunately i don't have them. The pics have been taken on the facebook count of Mike Coupe.
I only bought one model this year. I have no more room. But I had to have this one.

@david-green Wow! What a great model. I was not aware of this. I found it interesting that it has no hood ornament. Packard is my favorite Marque.

Some outstanding models included on this topic....for me, in terms of my '22 acquisitions, favorite white metal is the Brooklin '63 Riviera (I have the black version but any color will do) and favorite resin is the Goldvarg '62 Impala (I rarely buy two of the same model, but in this instance have two colors). Neither of my picks are "exotic" in any fashion but I really enjoy them both regardless. I discovered Forum 43 on New Year's Eve three years ago - many thanks to so many for the excellent contributions, knowledge-sharing and photography. I've learned a great deal. Happy New Year!
@john-quilter, a truly great car. I'm eager to see it finished.

My favorite of 2022 might be the 1962 VW Bug PTT (Tekno Denmark) - a rare version that a Danish friend pointed out to me or sale on the 'bay'! Both because of the PTT and the friend!
