John Merritt just showed us two huge Packards.  Here is another one, not quite as large.  My latest Brooklin obtained at the 2025 Countryside 1/43 show. 1957 Packard Clipper for the BCC. The turquoise over artic white is very 1950's nice. Many factory photos are also available on hobbyDB.

This model really benefits from a 2-tone paint job.  The standard gold colored Brooklin is very nice as well but no match for this example IMHO.

This tu-tone looks great and in reality these were actually pretty nice cars, but public sentiment at the time was "too little, too late"   AND "Who wants a Packard-baker!"

It is a beauty and looks great in its two-tone coat. Two years ago I was a fortunate enough to come across one that was redone by John White.

@jcarnutz Looks nice in white John.... I like the original (gold ) too.    Fix your hood ornament before you lose it!    😯 😲

@mg-harv Gorgeous!  IMO, gold & white is the best color combo for this car.

Clever how this basic body shell became the compact Studebaker Lark two years later.  Some examples.

What the hell?    I owned a '56 Packard for more than 20 years but NEVER knew this.   😮 😲     Wow, thanks John!    (...nice Studes too! )

They reduced the front and rear overhangs and shortened the wheelbase, but only ahead of the firewall. This made a smaller car with the same amount of room inside. It was an ingenious move by a company that had to make the best of what it had.
