My next project? a John Day 1921 Duesenberg race car (pics)

Two pictures, perhaps the same 1:1, and I have no information on either one. But I do have an interesting kit. Here it is, alongside my recently completed Plumbies Horch:

Didn't know John Day made that one, but DG Models (Dave Gilbert) did.

One of my earliest white metal builds, from the mid-70's. And being an early kit niceties like rubber tires were not included (they are metal). The decals are way too light for US flag blue.
But I had the benefit of having visited the Indy museum and took a lot of notes. At the time the body was an off-white, so that's how I painted it. Maybe today they have restored it to what might have been a lighter white nearly 100 years ago. The kit did not include a windscreen, emphasis on screen (not glass). I used a piece of faucet screen to scratchbuild that.
As the real car exists today, it appears as the 1921 French Grand Prix winner, an anomaly in those days for an American car and team to win a European GP (only Dan Gurney's Eagle matched that feat, if I'm correct). But the car went on to win at Indy in 1922. Does the kit have decals for either version?

Looks good! A little research on John Day brought this:
In his Americana grouping, John Day produced as number 109 the Duesenberg 1921 French GP. I have no box and only the parts pictured, so there are no decals. Mine has rubber tires, but I think they are wider than the originals.
