John Scrivens replied that the first 33 were sequentially numbered, reflecting 33 years of the BCC. BTW, I like the color now that it is in hand. Lighting really does make a difference, the model looking more red in some lights and more coppery in others.

Mine arrived yesterday and you are quite right about this particular color being very changeable with the lighting present. I really like the model.
I received mine the other day and I was pleasantly surprised that the color was better that I thought it might be in some of the photos I had seen. Good job Brooklin! Yes the lighting certainly makes a difference with this color.
