I am thinking about buying the NB Center Buick Wildcat model and have, what might seem, an odd question. This model has an antenna, attached at the factory. I usually display my models without their bases and any plastic covers in my display cases. If I do that, it is only a matter of time, before I break the antenna. Does anyone know if there is a safe way to remove the antenna, which could be later reattached?

I asked a question a while back about the glue used on the NB Nash Healey. Julie Evans at BRK responded that they are using a stronger glue for the NB models, but did not definitively say if it was water-soluble like the old BRKs. My only advice is to be real careful.
Curiously, i did not see the Buick i mean the real car at the museum nowhere in photo?

@michel-lemieux Two of the 1:1 cars were not available on the dates of the meet - the Buick Wildcat and the Cadillac.
I know the Wildcat is in Italy - I assume the Caddy also! Gotta have something to drive over there! 😯Â
I would be wary of their 'stronger glue'. Would it be better to use a very fine pair of wire clippers [not the clumsy pairs in my workshop] and neatly clip it off at its base? Most of the upmarket Buicks came with a power antenna and I think the model may actually look more authentic.  But either way would I dare touch a $300+ model?
I had a similar thought, and from my model train tools I have a clipper designed to do a nice straight cut. Like you, would I want to do it?

@moe-parr, you're right, it's a nice casting. Keep in mind that the NB Center model is a replica of the actual car in the NB Center collection.
