Does anybody have this model and how does it stands about quality and details to the Matrix 1937 Cadillac V16 Coupe?
I have it and would say that it is every bit as good....one of NEO's better offerings IMHO.
I am not so sure...........This is why I have doubt and asking. The hood ornament just seems a flat photo etched part with the hood strip instead of a 3D rendering. It doesn't look on par with my collecting standard with early GLM models as the B&S 1940 Cadillac Victoria or GIM 1938 Cadillac Town Sedan.
I choose very carefully what I display on my shelves otherwise they retire very fast to storage when I get tired looking at them ......... Yes, this is true.
The Matrix 1937 Cadillac V16 Coupe is my reference about accuracy and details for this period.
I have the '37 LaSalle Coupe. It's not a bad model, all things considered. The hood ornament is a flat photo-etched piece, as is the chrome strip that runs the hood. They are both very flat with very little definition. I am also starting to see the chrome from the side of hood flaking off. I fixed it for this photo with a little touchup, but it'll probably continue to get worse.
All things considered, the model is not bad, and I like it. Since there are few '37 LaSalle models available, it'll do for now. I do not consider this one of NEO's best, more middle of the road with definite shortcuts taken.
