I see on ebay there is a Chinese seller who is advertising for sale a number of 1:43 scale 1963 Chevy Nova 2drhts, apparently done by NEO, in the same metallic brown shade as  Goldvarg is bringing out very soon as I understand.  It is priced in the $40 range; which seems far too cheap  This seems very strange to me and I wonder if this may be one to stay away from??

No, that chevy is a first prototype make from Goldvarg that Sergio refuse due to the bed details, beware of some unscrupulous Chinese seller !!

Dear Jack, yes, Renato is right! That is a prototype that I rejected due to lack of quality around two years ago. Now, this Chinese factory is making some of them in very small quantities without my permission (I own that mould, even if I did not approved it) and without any Licensing Agreement from General Motors. Beware, as this is a fake and very low quality model!

Thanks Sergio.  Sellers like this person should be reported to ebay for the lack of permission reason you stated and for also falsely advertising it as a NEO.  I figured it had to be a scam.  I would never have bought it anyways because as you say, the quality is obviously sub-standard; plus I historically buy 95% of my Goldvargs directly from you, without an issue ever.

Dear Jack, thanks so much for your kind words. I have just reported this seller to Ebay I still don't know if NEO has something to do with this, because the model is NOT a NEO at all. This is a model and and a factory that I have rejected due to poor quality. Not even a single Goldvarg Collection model was made by this factory and this poor quality model was not approved by me. Beware of fake models! And thanks so much to Renato Bardi that he was aware of this issue and has contacted me immediately. People like Renato helps to keep to the hobby a safe place to enjoy!

I refuse to buy anything on Ebay directly from a Chinese seller. You are taking a big chance that you will not be satisfied with the merchandise- a lot of it is junk that they are pushing and with the supply chain problems, you might end up waiting a year to get it.

Ken;  There seems to be reputable and really bad sellers that are China based.  I deal with only a couple of them that have proven themselves trustworthy through good communication, consistent quality products and efficient delivery times, as I have too had issues in past years.
