Caution re Glass sheets
You will need to remove the blue plastic covering on both sides of each glass panel. However be cautious as the edges of the 'glass' are somewhat sharp.
Affix the glass frame to the truck bed with WHITE Glue only (I saw a discussion re glues in an earlier post) and the 'glass' to the trough on each side of the frame by applying a little bit of white glue to the LONG edge of each glass panel.
Des, has there been much breakage of the glass sheets?
I hate to see what my post office does to them.
Don't worry Dick ...by special arrangement with ....
by special arrangement with Bath Glass (by the way its a old Hamilton Ontario company not one in Brooklin's hometown) there won't be any breakage
AND YOU WILL LOVE THE TRUCK WHEN YOU SEE IT ...
Looking forward to it Des.
PICS Here is the model for 2008 from CTCS.
While it is based on the US Model Mint 37 Studebaker Coupe Express, I understand the baseplate has been reworked to designate it as a Brooklin.
photo no longer available
From some deliveries I've seen, the broken glass just might be realistic.
Almost correct Dick ...
Yes the base plate has been reworked to designate the model an official Brooklin Model
However the picture you posted is only my artist's impression ,,, the actual model is much nicer especially the glass frame and glass pieces.
BTW ... FYI the logo Bath Glass was chosen because Bath Glass is a defunct commercial glass supplier in Hamilton Ontario Canada (keeping the Canadian tone), Studebaker had a plant in Hamilton, and of course Bath is home to Brooklin Models ... a slight twist to keep everyone guessing until the model was released
I agree ... but guarantee these won't break in shipment (EOM)
Picture was from the CTCS Website.
