I expanded my collection of Auburns, Cords, and Duesenbergs at the Chicago show thanks to Frank and Greg. And now, I see another Duesey is (or will soon be) available from Esval:

1929 Duesenberg J116 Dual Cowl phaeton by Derham in silver or black (top up or down)

Seems I stumbled upon something I wasn’t supposed to find just yet. Here’s Esval’s response when we inquired about availability:

“Thank you for your inquiry.  I am glad that customers are becoming interested in these models. These models are not available yet. They will likely be available in the fourth quarter of this year or first quarter 2025. These photos are of design prototypes. These models are currently in production, and we will soon announce an estimated time of arrival for them.”

How did you find the photos to begin with?

Randy, You sure are the supe sleuth when it comes to finding new models. This model should be a huge seller based on the pictures.

@paul-rouffa Just poking around on their site. The Duesenbergs weren’t even listed as upcoming models.

Both colors look great, the closed versions are definitely on my list.

I wish someone would do a '29 Duesenberg SWEEP PANEL Model J Duel Cowl Phaeton. I'm not aware of one in 1/43.
