A very nice model for sure but, given how many of us already have the red convertible, I'm surprised they didn't include a color change this time.
@jack-dodds I agree, Jack, if this is new production, but it might be old stock that didn't sell and so BRK came up with a way to move 'em out. Â If it's a new production run, I think a color change should have been considered. Â Personally, I think a white car with saddle tan interior and tan top would have been beautiful. Â Or light blue. Â Or yellow.
Jack and Rick, both of you have raised good points. An alternate color would have made sense unless as you suggest, Rick, maybe they have a supply of red cars that they have decided to move out the door by offering different top configurations. Either way, it’s a nice alternative. As I had not acquired the convertible, I am thrilled to have now ordered the one with the black top option.
A Ctocus Yellow version would be another choice and I would buy that one as well.

I don't EVER remember a red Impala with a black interior having a tan top. And yes, there should have been a color change. And David Knight's comparison pics show that there's something wrong with those wheels.
For the first time, we get a look at the removable top feature, something that is included for the NABCC Club Car, a 1956 Buick Century Convertible. Looks terrific.
Thanks for this thread, David.
Sierra brown poly or crocus yellow would be beautiful color choices for this top up convertible.
Yes, the tires are larger in proportion to the car and the black wheel appears wider, yet I wonder if this may be a factor of the size of the wheels available in 1:43.  Below is a comparison between the actual car and the Brooklin. Harv’s point is well taken yet I think I can live with those wheels.

Well I ordered one. I already have a red convertible, so I ordered one with the tan top & boot. I am hoping I will be able to change the interior to tan as well, or find someone that will do it for me.
