That is certainly an enormous purple Cadillac limousine in the first image ! A telephone or signal flags would be needed to communicate with the driver. Wink

The violet 1976 limo is Elegance, too? What is the Ref. number?

How does it compare to modern resin?

It makes practical sense, as the driver would be in a different time zone ! Wink

An amazing number of additions. How many total models do you have of Cadillacs?

@carcass1996

This model is REF:1005 and it was produced in 1992 in at least seven colors. Production was very limited to maybe only 20 or fewer.

It is not a fantasy model, but a copy of Leo Weiser’s limo specifically built to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. He succeeded, but only for one year when the record was replaced with a longer Cadillac.

As far as comparing to “modern resin” you have to remember that it was built 33 years ago, completely by hand, so they cannot be compared, but Elegance models hold their own. Considering many of these models are pushing 40 years old and look as good as the day they were produced speaks volumes regarding the quality and detail.

Having said that, for transparency...I knew Claude, as did many of his customers. I own a lot of his regular production and many one-offs. So, a little bias here.

He not only produced Cadillac model (and many other marques), but he was also well regarded by Rolls-Royce collectors. I think he may have produced more RR models (by specific bodies/coach-builders), than ‘76 Cadillacs.

@lloyd-mecca How do you find Matrix's interpretation of the 1972 Fleetwood? Did it meet your expectation on build quality and accuracy?

I've been on the fence on getting one based off photos, but perhaps it is better in person? I did purchase Stamp's 1971 Coupe Deville if you want to use that as a baseline comparison.

Thanks!

Alfred
