It was mentioned a while back in MAR that a fellow in Germany is making paper templates to create an old time garage in 43rd scale  Here is one shot taken from MAR of the completed kit.

So, I took a opportunity to acquire this kit which is a set of 8 PDF files of sections of this building.    They were emailed to me (very large files totaling 26 MB!)  but my laptop did not choke and I was able to figure out how to transfer each of the 8 "blatts" (all the instructions are in German)  and attach them to two separate emails I sent to my local UPS store that can color print.  I was not going to try that on MY printer!.  I bought 10 sheets of white card stock paper from Office Depot and had the UPS store with my assistance print them out.  as shown below.

So now my plan is to get some sheets of mounting cardboard about 1/8 thick and glue the cut out blatts to that prior to assembly.     Stay tuned,  We'll see how it turns out in a few weeks.  The assembly  looks fairly intuitive and I hope it is,  since my German is nil, but there is always Google Translate.

Looks interesting. The finished product should look nice.

John, you obviously have a fair amount of time invested; I wish you luck. Personally, however, I can't get excited about paper models. They have their place...as flat backdrops or far away scenery...otherwise, I've never used them.

These do look nice though and I look forward to your pics & comments. I'm interested in your "final thoughts."
