1955 packard 400 hardtop by brooklin models

Random question...if you were to buy one of these Brooklins, which would it be? Just curious as I am trying to decide. I realize it's hard to choose with no background as to the nature of my collection but I'm interested in your answers. Thanks!

Those are both very diverse selections. I have them both and I can say for me, it would be a tough choice. I like both of them for different reasons.

Now if I had to pick, as much as I like Packard models, I'd probably choose the Imperial, it is an amazing model.

The Imperial is a fine example of Brooklin models of cars of the thirties and their outstanding detail while the Packard is well executed with an excellent paint job. Slight edge to the Packard.

I would choose the one that is hardest to find right now. I think it's the Packard?

I pick the Packard. Both are nice, but I prefer cars from the 50s and 60s.

Thanks for the answers so far. I think the Imperial is the better executed model, but the Packard has more eye appeal due to the color combo.

I do have to choose one, someone wants to give me a present...lucky me!

The Packard is an older favorite of mine.  The other I didn't recognize (Okay, I'm hanging my head in shame.)  So I looked up the

Brooklin 211 1938 Chrysler Imperial Eight C-19 Coupe.

I couldn't find the open convertible version, but what I did see didn't inspire me to destroy my budget this month.  So I guess I'm going with the Packard.  Have fun with which ever you choose!

Thanks for your input, David. The Imperial convertible is a '37 so that may help you find out more about it.

I have the Packard and it is a real beauty; especially in those colors.  I much prefer it over the Imperial.

I agree that the Imperial is well executed by Brooklin and if you don’t have any of that prewar time period it is a good choice.   However, the 55 Packard is a stand out model and car of the fifties so there you go.  There’s always a coin toss if it comes to that.

@ben-lampson Sometimes there are even better sales. I stumbled into one at Countryside in March for a mere $65. I like the extremely dark green color.

About the Packard, don't forget that there is an other color schemes version in Yellow and Black. Personaly, i prefer that one in limited version.

Thanks all and I solved the problem by getting both! One is a gift to me, and I'll pay for the other one myself.

They're so different, but both so beautiful, that I just couldn't decide.
