Spotted this 1953 Packard limo a few years ago at a local car show and now replicated it with a 1954 version by Brooklin.  A recent Vectis auction acquisition.

Outstanding John, I'm jealous!   Being the Packard fan that I am, this was always one of my favorite vintage photos.  This is a corporate 1954 Packard limo., that's Mrs. Henry Joy.   Notice the chauffeur's eyes.   LoL!

For John

What a beautiful limousine and the 1/43 is also a beauty!

I notice that Brooklin added a rocker panel molding which the 1/1s did not have.

Not so fast there, big guy......

In all fairness to Brooklin, there are countless internet pics showing 1954 Packard factory limousines with rocker panel moldings (I won't bore anyone with pics ).  But I'm not certain if they were options, or mid-year add-ons (or deletions ) or ???

I think it has to do with the subtle side trim differences between the 1953 and 1954 versions.  Brooklin is a 1954 and my 1:1 photo is a 1953.

I'm not positive about that, as I can find online pics of '54 Packard limos with/without rocker panel moldings.   I'm more of an "expert"  on 1955-'56 Packards (I owned one for over 20 years ).

Regardless, Brooklin's '54 is not a mistake and, apparently, would also be "correct"  without rocker panel moldings - something to consider if purchasing a junker  model.  😏

Keep in mind that Henney built these limos. There is a variety of side trim details online. It's possible that the side trim and those rocker panels were owner-ordered.

It’s always fun to compare the actual car with one in 1:43. That’s a fine limo in both the Henry and the one by Brooklin. Nice comparison John.

The dark blue poly shade really sets this car and model off nicely.
