For 1966, Ford and Hertz had a cooperative venture in which Ford produced a special run of 1001 copies of the Mustang GT 350 which was a street legal version of Ford’s racing Mustang. The venture came to be known as Hertz Rent-a-Racer. Once their rental period was over they were returned to Ford Motor Company where they were then made available for sale. Today, one of these Mustangs could be worth $275,000
Brooklin issued a series of these Mustangs in several colors. i have a white and a black one. This post shows the White one with gold stripes. In another post I’ll show the black one.

Nice photos. The Mustangs from the 1960’s are among my favorite American cars.

Harv, thanks for posting the Kyosho version. Nice as the Brooklin models of this Mustang are, your Kyosho does have an edge when it comes to detail.

oh, I forgot.....the red one was signed by Brooklin's Nigel.....
That should raise its value a bit I suppose....
I sure would want to get behind the wheel of one signed by Nigel Parker!
