PIC - Another shelf sees the light. A knowledge-testing question...
I temporarily liberated the top shelf of my display cabinet of all items. This second shelf basked momentarily in the light from above. I thought it made for a pretty moody if not entirely realistic photo and I liked how it revealed the showroom and surrounding area.
The least detailed and costly model in this photo would appear to be the '51 Fordor in the showroom, a Brooklin Dealer Special. Motor City USA, Conquest and Brooklin are all represented.
However, there is a $20 beauty behind the showroom Ford. It is from the same time period (I think it is a '49 or '50) and is a very nice model from FOMOCO. Any guesses?

Universal Hobbies 49 Mercury coupe?
Great diorama! I wish I had the room for one, or more! I think the red car in the show room is a 1949 Mercury. What is the woodie behind the '50 Ford by the side of the show room.
The green woody is a Brooklin Models '47 Ford wagon, custom by John Roberts
Cool pic, Randall. Great collection of Fords too!
I love your dealership dioramas, Randall, and the lighting for this one is perfect.
I love the diaramas but they take up a bit of space, I wonder if anyone makes a 43rd size poster that could be applied to the back of a shelf for a backdrop. Wouldn't be 3 dimensional but might work out OK.

That is a great diorama. Beautiful display of some very nice Ford models.

John, some backdrops are available. I have had good success searching for high quality images on Google and then printing them on my computer printer. A search for "backdrops" will also net a few, mostly train hobby sites.
PIC - Thanks for your comments. Richard and Curtis are right. The obscured red car in the showroom..
is a 1949 Mercury by Eagle's Race (also sold under Universal Hobbies and Road Champs labels). Mike de Torrice has featured this model a few time in his photos on this Forum. It is a nice little model and more detailed than the much more expensive Brooklin, Frobly and Durham handbuilts. I paid $14.99 for mine in a local shop (that's in Canadian dollars which is roughly equivalent to a total price of two or three Euros, Pounds or USD. - -Just kidding). Here's a pic:
