PIC - GLM 1969 Lincoln Continental
This model is due out at the end of next month.
Its nice to see this replica making an appearance. I am happy that GLM has chosen a Continental 4dr rather than the Mark III which Neo issued or the less common 2dr hardtop.
Judging from the early photographs, the builder has gotten almost everything right. Very nice proportions. Great detail - a real beauty.
The roof appears to be painted to resemble a vinyl roof. I hope they issue it with a realistic appearing vinyl roof as the vast majority of cars were sold with vinyl, in fact I don't know if in '69 it could have been ordered two-tone.
I also am hopeful that GLM puts on the narrow whitewalls which appeared on 99% of the Lincolns that year. Although the blackwalls may appeal to our early 21st century tastes, whitewalls would be more accurate. The tires are not a deal breaker for me, but a painted roof probably is.

Finally--great 60s Lincoln. Facinating roof effect which isn't supposed to be matte-black paint as part of a two tone OR a vinyl fake leather typical of the 60s-70s. Around '69 Lincoln started using a smooth fabric as their roof cover, sort of a fake silk with a crepe-ish grain. Whatever it was supposed to be is captured in 1:43 well using matte paint.
An better example of this effect is NEO's silver -over silver '74 Mark IV -- its roof finish comes even closer to that fine but odd roof texture I remember.
Great job GLM, ordered from Mint/ Legacy.
Now add WW tires, then get to work on a 1962!

Mark, so it looks like GLM did get the roof right. Now I'll have to buy it
