Great looking model Chris. When the owner of Illustra came to our
Strictly 43rd Show in Chicago one year he brought one of these and donated it as a door prize. That was Steve Overy a very interesting guy too. The lucky fellow who won it was sadly not a race car lover so I bought it from him. But when I later used eBay to thin my collection before we moved into retirement here, somehow I let it slip away. The Purple People Eater was a dominant racing car in the SCCA just before I started going to those races. But it was sort of a missing link.

2003 and it was already sold out some years before. Sometimes one is lucky and when the opportunity is there I hope I have the means to buy it.
