Thanks for the good information and pictures, Renato. The Kaiser Carolina initially interested me, but it hurts to see that this one still has the "Manhattan" insignia on the front fender. Would it be possible to remove that? The 1953-only Kaiser Carolina targeted the low end of the marketplace, Kaiser's take on getting price-competitive. Like its opposite (much higher end) the Dragon, it was Manhattan-based and a 1953-only model. The Carolina sold a little better than the Dragon, 1,812 units total. Clandestine bulletins were issued to dealers, edifying them on the Carolina's role--roping in showroom visitors, so they could be steered into higher-profit cars like the Manhattan.

The 55 Oldsmobile is nice but I'd really like a 56 Oldsmobile

I have to admit that once the Cadillac was announced and presented I was really not attracted to it.
But I have to say that it grows more and more on me and I will buy it.
Wire wheels are awesome on this model in my opinion although they are not accurate with the real 1/1 conversion. So I guess that Esval will have to work again, but let's not forget that this Caddy was already presented 2 years ago...
Thanks so much for sharing the pics !
If THAT Cadillac is growing on you, go to the doctor and have it removed.
The wheels are nice. Esval should start with those wheels, trash the ruined Eldorado, and give us a factory stock Cadillac on which the wheels would be appropriate. I think that means it would have to be a rear wheel drive Cadillac.
LOL !!! Crazy isn't ??? I am surprised I like it now ! But my doctor can't do anything for me now !!! it's too late, the Cadillac bug is tattooed in my brain for 30 years now ! 😉
I really share your opinion about that unflattering ( to my eyes ) wagon's conversion. But I could give it a try, overall proportions are pretty good and it looks cutter as a scale model than the real one. Especially when the Eldorado Coupe 72 is one of my favorite Cadillac and I don't like conversions on it. The 1974 Eldorado wagon Esval has also planned is even worst in terms of design language.
Making some wagons is maybe not that uninteresting but far far nicer and sleeker ones have been converted from Cadillac Eldorados!. Eval didn't pick the nicest ones.
and especially when it could be more obvious to study and offer regular Eldorados, not only from the 71-78 era.
'76 premiumX's a banana.
'71 AMR's nice but has aged.
'73 TinWizard...hum...no!
So let's hope GLM's 73 is correct in the flesh !
😉
The mouth of the Olds grille is not high enough where it meets the hood.
Opening should be larger. Also, the roof height is slightly wrong....too low.
Esval Kaiser Manhattan
I didn't notice the Manhattan script on the Carolina. David has great eyesight, but the Manhattan needs full wheel covers, not the small hub caps. Also, the taxicab paint combination needs to be toned down. Otherwise, love both models. Did anyone notice the baby Duesenberg prototype, which became the 1936 Cord. Most of the Esval models are pretty nice. Especially like the International D 300 van.
This shows how starved we are for Cadillacs! I say go with the wiener mobile.
Yes I noticed the baby Duesenberg with and without pop up headlights, guess we're in for a long wait ?
You bet.
