Pic: My most recent acquisition...
OK...so I've had it for a while but the postings at 13366.1.3.2.1.1 made me do this:

the color mobile
You know, now that I have yet another look, I have to tell ya that it looks better than some of the newer 1/43rds that we have greeted with minimum enthusiasm.
It seems to look better when there is less light. How about a picture at night without lighting?
But if I did that, you wouldn't be able to....Ohhhhh, I get it.

Mood lighting so low that the shutter opens ever so slowly, but never closes!
This is a real surprise JK! Have you had it long??
JR too long, Bernie from Milestone will not live this one down.
Will we once again get to see the JKmobile in Chicago?
I can see what some people are suggesting.
It is a perverse but aesthetically surprising truth that a small degree of subtle mystery can enhance even the most exciting and desirable object.
Think of the Chevy as a delicately turned female ankle, half-concealed unter the table in the twilight, and the moon as a fading flashlight, held in the trembling hand of an adolescent boy, and you begin to get the idea.

To enhance the effect of this imagery on the inner eye still further, wrap 6 or 7 layers of black insulating tape over your eyes and plunge your head into a barrel of cold molasses to a depth of 12-18 inches. Maintain this posture for at least 40 minutes. This technique has never failed me yet.

Has anyone ever constructed a 1/43 junkyard complete with a crusher?
I don't know, either, but seeing that model once again made me think of that.....
:^)
Suggest that the car be wrapped and immersed in the barrel--with a concrete block attached.
Please, please no! Anything but that! If so, I may be forced to head to Miami that weekend.....
earlier than anticipated for a scheduled business trip.
Anything, anything but that!!
Not only will it be there, it will be signing autographs! Line forms at the door, gents.

Wow! A line of elderly gents waving white sticks and clutching their autograph books.
