The bumper on the model is higher which visually eliminates the need for it.

Not absolutely correct but tolerable.

Believe or not, I already brought this up with Sergio, 2 or 3 weeks ago. My complaint is the vertical pieces are too bright and too far forward. In other words, to prominent. I did this through private emails, but since others are noticing the same problem, I think it ought to be corrected. Otherwise, this is an excellent interpretation of a 1948 Pontiac. While I'm at it, I think the Goldvarg 1961 Chevrolet Impala is about as fine as you can ask for. All of Sergio's models, at this price point are superb.
I want to mention some other models I just received. I am blown away by the Matrix 1930 Stutz Lancefield Coupe. The detail is unbelievable. Could be the best of 2019. I also have the Autocult 1956 GM Biscayne concept sedan. Wow, a great model, and I am overwhelmed by the GLM 1941 Buick Roadmaster Convertible in Black. It is just so authentic looking.

Agree with all of your observations , Ray. I never thought I'd see a model of the Biscayne.

This issue was fixed already. There are four horizontal bars now, and the vertical bars are not prominent as the horizontal ones.photo no longer available
