PIC: Tragedy averted in Chicago

Some say it was the fault of one of the major networks that showed up late causing the crowd to press in too tightly while they maneuvered their cameras and reporters in position to cover the unveiling. Some think it was the sheer excitement of such a historical moment creating near hysteria among the throngs of people crowding the Forum 43 booth. Others think Chicago is just not a large enough city to manage something of this magnitude.

Regardless of the reasons, shortly before the introduction of a world-changing work os art, it became clear to the teams of EMTs and emergency medical personnel who were on hand that a crisis was developing as the over-capacity crowd moved into the venue, jostling for a better view of the proceedings.

Fortunately, just prior to a stampede breaking out, former third-grade teacher, Mrs. Maggie Thornberg, ruler in hand and whacking it loudly over her palm, grabbed a bullhorn from one of the mounted policemen and shrieked into it, "OK! Everyone line up single file shortest to tallest!!"

The crowd hesitated for a few terrifying moments but the promise of crackers and orange juice if everyone got in line and promised to be "good boys and girls" seemed to mollify the vast hoard of humanity as they quickly began to form a line.

In just a few short minutes, the event occurred as millions tuned in to a special simulcast sent around the world.

It was the debut of...."The Father."

Inquiries from the press concerning what some are calling "questionable parentage" remain unanswered as of press time.

Immediately after the ceremonies, Mother, Father and children gathered for a first-ever family photo-op, inviting the black sheep of the family, Auntie Katherine (Crazy Kathy) to join them despite her diminutive handicap and resemblance to a 57 Plymouth.

The family's current agent and social coordinator, when asked about plans for next year was quoted as saying, "It's far too early to talk about running for president. No decisions have been made. All we want to do now is serve the people."

Criticism like this is what drove the Dutch Masters to abandon painting and start making cigars!

I think perhaps that’s what Frank was hoping you’d pick up on

And in case you were worried, old crazy Aunt Kathy made it home safely.

She has an odd affliction though, wants to live in a small yellow box. Been trying to cure her for years.

There is a simple answer to all of this, regretfully.

It's called "color blindness". We should take pity.

It must be just that....time to show a little sensitivity and compassion.
