Here is an Ertl 1/43 replica of the 1930 Packard boat-tail speedster. I got this one some years ago from the late Dick Browne at one of the Countryside, IL shows. The Packard was always a good-looking automobile and this model is no exception.

@perrone1 Pictures 4 and 6 prove the Packard wasn't in Chicago.

Thank Goodness Bob - it would look horrible up on blocks with tires/wheels missing!!  Laugh

Those incredibly beautiful trees? Only GOD can make those. And RIP Dick Browne - what a proponent for the scale!!

@perrone1 Dick and his wife used to spend the night in Jackson, Ms. and we would go out to eat. I believe they had a son living in Dallas and we were half way in between Atlanta and Dallas. We always compared our Hallmark Christmas tree ornaments.

I have no interest in tree ornaments if this was one.

The GLM 1930 Packard Speedster was looking nice but I passed because the hood ornament was not to scale and the wire wheels were questionable.

Thanks Bob. I never met Dick in person but we spoke many times via phone when he was the 1/43rd forum moderator. I appreciate your sharing your personal contacts with him!
