Thanks ! Paul, there is so much I have forgotten since my stroke and also a move to a place where I haven't yet set up a permanent studio area. I do think I remember I photographed the '35 Ford sedan separately and made the shadow underneath it partially transparent, so background features would tend to follow the contours a bit. The background were separately imaged by talented Depression-era photographers (not me !) and added in as a background layer in PaintShopPro, a Photoshop-type of Windows program.
@michaeldetorrice Thanks Mike, much appreciated.
Rextoys made a nice selection of the 1935 Fords- standard sedan, coupe, van and woodie estate. These models are inexpensive and look wonderful. I have several models in collection and very pleased of them. Another good example is Eligor. But this company focused on the 1932 Ford.
Those are excellent points about the Rextoys (and Eligor) replicas, Fred. They certainly were widely seen in collections and came in a variety of forms. They were also reasonably priced, I recall, which was a point in their favor !
Such great photos - I had to share them to a different audience!

Lol, thank you, KarI ! Sometimes I do wish I had a real time machine to see these actual 1:1 automobiles in their true environment.
...yes, very cool but also very sad when we remember John is no longer with us. I miss his posts (and workmanship ) very much. Does anyone know what happened to his wonderful collection?
@chris I have also wondered about John’s collection I hope it got a nice new home or homes.
