This is a 1/43 replica of the fabulous Hudson Hornet for 1952, as done many years ago by Franklin Mint. It is one I bought at one of the Countryside shows some years back. It is in a really nice deep green color and features opening hood and doors.

I LOVE the Hudson Hornets and FM did a great job. I have it in 1/43, and the green one in 1/24 is my favorite of all the 1/24s in my collection! I also have it in every other version FM made.

Slight correction to your post, Mike, FM lists it as a 1951 model, not a '52.

Thanks ! Yes, I should have indicated it is actually a 1951 Hudson from Franklin Mint. Hudson's are all really good-looking "step-down" automobiles.

Have both the 1/43 and 1/24 scales. Great looking models.

Nice Hudson, Mike, and the settings make it look real.

Thanks ! These step-down Hudson's sure look excellent in any scale and for good reason, I think they have been done in most of them including 1/43, 1/24 and1/18.

I agree, Mike.  I have the FM 1/24 in green and the two tone blue and they knocked it out of the park on them.  I would have added the beige and root beer version if I had the display case.

When I was  kid in the early 60s our tight ass neighbor was still driving a 51 4 door.  Back then I thought that was the ugliest car I'd ever seen.  Not now, of course.

Lol, ah, tastes can change and it really is such a good-looking automobile. It was great he was still driving that reliable old step-down Hudson ..... and of course, the "modern" cars of the Seventies also were "cutting edge" and looked wonderful !
