This 1/43 replica was released many years ago by Soldido and models the automobile in a white over blue color combination. It is very nicely done and was quite inexpensive.

Wonderful colors.  I have it in pink as a convertible

Nice pictures. Do you know where the background part of the picture is in the first photo?

Ed, in the first photo I believe the background image is one I took with my Pentax DLSR in San Diego, CA from Coronado looking across the harbor.

An older diecast model but still really nicely done and a fine addition to one's 1/43 collection at usually a quite low price. I picked up mine at one of the Countryside, IL diecast shows.

LOVE the way you incorporate the backgrounds into scene making the model look real!

Thanks ! I can't afford a real 1:1 '57 Cadillac Biarritz so I have to try and dream using a 1/43 model and trick photography, lol ! Roll

I’ve never seen this model in person. Always meant to find one, but when GLM/Stamp issued theirs in became unnecessary. It looks good though.

Intentional or not, you make a good point John.

"Back in the day"  Solidos represented awesome value AND with GREATER fidelity.  No offense to Brooklin and others, but let's face it - they were a bit chunky AND they cost considerably more.   NO ONE (especially me! ) ever thought we'd eventually see the high level (and improving by the hour! ) of execution we've now come to expect in 1/43.
