In this case, it's a 1939 American LaFrance B-550RC as done in 1/43 (and also 1/24) by Yat Ming in their very nice firetruck series.

Great photography Mike and interesting model.I've always wanted to get a classic firetruck but have been afraid that buying one would only be the start, due to my obsessive collecting nature. I'm having difficulty just trying to control my car collecting. The same old problem, lack of room.
