Two really special Corgi toys! I never owned one of these, but I have seen a few over the years. Corgi in the 60's was one of the brightest stars of all toy builders. Chris, these are what I would expect to find in a really, really good toy car collection of those years. Great!

Terrific photos and background information!

Wasn't familiar with this particular Corgi model - wow, impressive. And yes, the jacks they designed were fabulous. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you David. IMHO this model represents the pinnacle of ….

toy car production not just in execution but in technical achievement.

And as you mention David it deserves to be in any collection where the focus is on toy cars.

Good info Chris - I was unaware of the Wingrove connection. Here's my Sting Rays.

I only have the green one. This was Corgi's second use of #300, originally it was used for an Austin-Healey 100-4.

The 1968 Sting Ray followed the #310 1963 Sting Ray split-window coupe. I have the magenta version with spun wheels, and the silver version with cast wire wheels. This version also had pop-up headlights. I wonder if Gerald had a hand in this one too?
